A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC – cabaret and other stories.
An exciting world, somehow fabulous and unreal, theatrically lavish, extravagantly showy, sometimes jubilant, often nostalgic… Now there are some in Berlin, Paris, New York… but once were full of cabarets! All kinds: poetic, danceable, exotic, frivolous, refined… Cabaret is definitely special! And there is a spirit of freedom. A place for bold satire, irony and provocation. If you look at the list of composers who have written songs for cabaret, you will be amazed. Still authors in the leading cohort of world music. And based on the texts of famous poets – both for its time and for all time, which makes it a classic. Songs about the paradoxes of life. About the supposedly familiar things, but seen through the strange prism. Reflecting on texts from great minds and stories about memorable human destinies…
We’ll be free, we’ll have fun, we’ll have a drink, we’ll light a cigarette, we’ll share a smile. This is our cabaret, in a situation of musical illusion, where the audience is not just a spectator, but of course part of the cabaret, sharing the irony with herself, enjoying the abundance of means of expression.
We do it together. Ina Kancheva – opera singer, Lyudmil Angelov – pianist and Itsko Fintsi – actor with violin. The visuals are created by the artists Tita Koycheva and Viktor Mukhtarov.
